The R.O.A.R Table

We navigate AI better together.

A monthly room at the tipping point of technology and trust.

How do capable people navigate work, relationships, opportunity and risk in an AI changed world?

We separate the signal from the noise, talk through the risks and opportunities in plain language, and leave with a practical next step. You don't have to keep up with AI alone.

One trusted hour a month to stay current, think clearly and act confidently in the age of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Free on Zoom: October 14, November 4 and December 2, 12:00 noon ET.
One registration saves a seat at all three.

Here's what's coming up.

This is the table that discusses this, and so much more, through topics and guests. October, November and December are free. One registration saves a seat at all three.

What does AI say about me?

What we discuss
Phones out, private window on. Together we run 2 live tests on our own names: the Google first page test, to see what a stranger learns in 5 minutes, and the AI answer test, asking an AI tool what it knows about each of us. I run both on myself first.
Why it matters
October is Cyber Security Awareness Month, so we start with our own digital first impression.
We leave with
The 3 things to fix this week.

Networking in the holidays

What we discuss
The parties, the reunions and the "so, what are you working on now" moments. One networking move to make the season count, and the small talk that opens a real conversation.
Why it matters
The holidays bring the warmest reconnections of the year, and a little preparation makes each one count.
We leave with
A plan for the events already on the calendar, plus the privacy guardrail to set before posting a single holiday photo.
Open house
2December, Wed
12:00 noon to 12:50 p.m. ET on Zoom

How to shop safely during the holidays

What we discuss
How to spot the fake delivery text, the deal that is too good and the urgent message that looks like it came from someone familiar, and what to do if one gets through.
Why it matters
Holiday shopping brings a rush of deliveries, deals and urgent messages, which is exactly when a short pause pays off.
We leave with
A 2 minute check to run before every purchase and every click.

And more topics around

AI, scams and digital trustAI governancePrivacyDeepfakesCareerTrustCanInnovateNetworkingHuman advantage

They're all conversations at the intersection of technology and trust.

The quiet question

"I should already know this by now."

Most of us have thought it. The pace of AI is relentless, and plenty of capable, senior people are keeping up in private, half sure they are the only ones still figuring it out.

They are in very good company.

And one of the best ways to feel confident about AI risk is also the simplest: talking about it, out loud, with smart people, once a month.

Why a table

Technology can copy almost any skill now. The one thing it cannot copy is trust.

AI can give us more information. It cannot decide whom we trust. It cannot replace judgment built through experience, perspective gained through conversation, or relationships built over time.

That is why this is a Table, not another course.

We bring the questions that are on all of our minds, and members can suggest topics too. We bring the research and the guests, industry thought leaders, and members get to ask them their own questions. The table brings the perspective.

Every Table answers four questions

1What changed?
2Why does it matter?
3What should I watch?
4What should I do next?

Think of it as a drum circle.
I keep the beat. The room plays.

Topics and guests

Two kinds of month, one rhythm.

Topic months

Led by Sapna

One timely AI shift, unpacked in plain language with the room. Every topic is announced ahead with what we discuss, why it matters and what we leave with. Members suggest topics too.

Guest months

Live CanInnovate recordings, from 2027

Hours on recordAn annual certificate of attendance, with hours itemized.
A verified roomCapable peers worth knowing, every one reviewed by hand.

Who it is for

For the capable ones carrying it quietly.

People expect you to have an answer. AI keeps changing the question.

The R.O.A.R Table is for people who are already good at what they do and don't intend to become AI experts. They do intend to remain informed, relevant and confident enough to lead the conversation. Members are:

  • The one others come to, while still quietly working out where AI fits
  • Already using AI, and keen to know it is being used well and safely
  • Ready to stay ahead with one trusted hour a month
  • Convinced that relationships are the real advantage, and growing them on purpose
  • Happiest thinking things through with sharp, generous people

A better fit elsewhere for anyone looking for a technical coding course, or a room to collect contacts for sport. This table is about judgment, trust and real relationships.

What connects us: curiosity about what comes next, and the confidence to talk about it out loud.

"Connection without verification creates risk, but verification without connection creates isolation. The bridge between the two is intention."

Sapna Malhotra, Connect the Dots, 2nd edition

We hold both at once. Trust, but verify.

The intersection between technology and trust is community.

A verified room

Every seat is reviewed by hand.

  • Every paid member is reviewed by hand: name, email and LinkedIn profile.
  • Every profile has a photo and is complete.
  • Every new member receives a digital audit, the one we teach in the AI Powered Networking Strategist.
  • A LinkedIn verification badge is welcome.

The result is a room of real, capable people, worth knowing and safe to think out loud with.

Pricing

What do founding members receive?

The founding annual rate of $250 USD (~$335 CAD) a year, offered until December 31, 2026, with the Situational Networking Playbook and 6 gift passes, one month each, to share or keep.

When does billing start?

Founding annual and monthly memberships are first charged on January 6, 2027, the day of the first member session. The free sessions on October 14, November 4 and December 2 stay free.

How do founding member renewals work?

We honour loyalty. Founding members renew every year on January 6 at the founding rate of $250 USD, for as long as the membership continues. A reminder arrives 30 days before every renewal.

How do the gift passes work?

There are three ways to use them: give 2 people 3 months each, keep all 6 for 18 months of membership for the price of 12, or keep 2 and give 2 people 2 months each. Choose a start date, and the gift pass arrives by email. Passes start by June 30, 2027.

Will the price change in 2027?

From January 1, 2027, annual membership is $300 USD (~$400 CAD), which saves two months against paying monthly, and renews every year at the initial price. Monthly membership is $30 USD (~$40 CAD). Founding members keep $250 USD.

Is there a Canadian price?

Yes. Canadian members pay in CAD at checkout, at 1.34, a rate set below the market rate. We call it the CanInnovate Tariff Break.

What currency is it in, and are taxes added?

Prices are charged in USD, with the approximate CAD shown beside each. Any applicable tax is shown at checkout.

How does cancelling a monthly membership work?

Monthly memberships renew monthly. Cancel with two weeks notice before the next billing date.

Is there a guarantee?

Yes. A full refund within 30 days of the first payment, no questions asked.

Can an employer pay for it?

Yes. Every membership comes with a receipt in the member's name, ready for professional development or learning and development budgets.

Can it be given as a gift?

Yes. The 3 month pass is $75 USD (~$100 CAD), does not renew automatically, and arrives by email on the chosen start date.

Sessions

When do sessions run in 2027?

The first Wednesday of every month, 12:00 noon ET, starting January 6, 2027.

What happens in a session, and how much time does it take?

One live hour a month on Zoom. Topic months are led by Sapna and focus on one timely theme. Guest months are live CanInnovate podcast recordings, starting in 2027, with private Q&A for members afterwards.

What if a live session gets missed?

Every session is recorded, and members receive the recording, so a missed session is never lost.

What are the Guest sessions in 2027?

CanInnovate, Sapna's podcast, returns in 2027 with Canadian innovators and the invisible experts behind the work. Members watch recordings live and stay for private Q&A with the guest.

Do the sessions count toward professional development hours?

Members receive an annual certificate of attendance with hours itemized. Professional development is self reported, so each member confirms relevance and hours with their own professional body, such as CPA, CMC or ICD.

The room

Who is this for, and who is it not for?

Mid career and senior professionals who want to feel as confident about AI as they are about their work, and who value relationships. It is a better fit elsewhere for anyone wanting a technical coding course or a place to collect contacts. No title or technical background is required.

Is it safe to ask questions in the room?

Yes. Privacy is the priority at this table. Recordings are shared with members only, questions can be sent in advance, and what is said in the room is treated with care.

Will there be real networking?

Yes. Every session leaves time to connect with the room, and the ROARers Insider Club keeps those conversations going between sessions.

How is this different from the free Probe & Ponder newsletter?

Probe & Ponder is a weekly read. The table is a live room: real conversation, guests, recordings, a certificate of attendance, and people doing the same work. Members keep the newsletter too.

What happens right after joining?

A welcome email arrives with the next session date, a calendar invitation, and access to the ROARers Insider Club.

Is any tech or AI experience needed?

No. Zoom and a healthy dose of curiosity are all it takes. The table meets everyone where they are, from curious beginners to daily users.
